March Day on the Pemigewasset
March 2016

Judy and I walked along the Pemigewasset River today. It was only 35F, but
warm in the sun. I worked nearly a dozen stations in the Russian DX Contest.

The river was starting to drop after spring flooding last week. We walked more
than a mile and turned into a sunny field.  I tossed my antenna line into a birch
tree within sight of the river.

I pulled up a 28 foot wire and hooked up the KX3. I started on 15M. There were
plenty of stations to contact between the Russian contest and the LA QSO party.
I operated for 20 minutes and worked 11 stations. Here's my log.

We could get a bit of snow tomorrow. But after that it looks like clear sailing into
spring.
